Liquid! was established in 1996 by long time friends Aron Lusen and Christian Lichtner with a combined passion to impact the comic book and pop culture mediums. Chris and Aron's creative vision was to infuse their combined artistic sensibilities into a unique trademark style of digital painting. Using dynamic color schemes, and their own signature method of rendering, the Liquid! style took the industry by storm, raising the bar and inspiring a generation of artists to think differently about how color could impact the quality of comics and other artistic endeavors.
Sometimes referred to as the ILM of comics, Liquid! went on to win the Wizard Magazine fan favorite award an incredible four years in a row, and received critical acclaim industry wide. The list of clients that Liquid! has worked for over the years includes numerous popular magazines, album covers, video games, and much more. Liquid! has also worked on some of the most prolific titles in comics, including X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Spiderman, Battle Chasers and Fantastic Four.
Aron and Chris went on to create their own highly successful title, EVE ProtoMecha, which was published in numerous countries, selling hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. E.V.E was eventually collected into trade-paperback, and can be purchased at major retail outlets such as Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
Liquid! is an accomplishment that Aron and Chris are extremely proud of. It's something that two good friends set out to create together with the odds stacked against them, putting ego aside and neither looking to reap the glory in their individual names. While Aron and Chris have each moved on to new challenges, they are continually grateful to all the artists and fans who supported their work through the years.
